A Seattle native, Chaplain Dale has the experience and credentials to put your mind at ease about your wedding ceremony. He wants what you want: A ceremony you'll love.
Chaplain Dale has been putting the motto, "A ceremony you'll be proud of," into practice again and again on over 1300 occasions throughout the Puget Sound Region and Washington state.
He's the real deal. No downloaded "credentials" here; he is a seminary trained ordained minister, fully meeting the requirements of state law for wedding officiants. There are no "cookie cutter" ceremonies for him. Having worked with couples of all faiths (and no faith) and backgrounds, he gets to know his couples and crafts a ceremony that reflects their personality.
Chaplain Dale was the head chaplain for the King County Sheriff. As a co-pastor of the Anderson Island Community Church, he has an office in Bothell and lives in Monroe. He has performed weddings and elopement ceremonies in a wide variety of locations throughout western Washington and the Cascades. The list of locations includes home plate at
Safeco Field, the
Space Needle observation deck, countless beaches and parks, Bremerton's
Harborside Fountain Park, gardens, cruise boats, restaurants, a cemetery (honest!), scenic overlooks, an animal sanctuary, ballrooms,
Snoqualmie Falls, the
Chinese Room at the Smith Tower, river banks, lodges, cabins, churches, chapels, living rooms and back yards. From Port Angeles to Puyallup; from Leavenworth to Lynden; from Yakima to Yelm; from Olympia to Orting; from Bellingham to Bellevue; and Seattle to Shelton and everywhere in-between -- Chaplain Dale has done ceremonies there and he'd be glad to travel to where your special event will be, too.
He has the experience to handle every type of wedding situation. He believes in marriage and believes that God blesses it. His ceremonies reflect a positive celebration of the couple without being preachy or "religious". He works with the couple to design the ceremony of their choosing. No surprise wording on wedding day! You'll like the result.
He enjoys learning about the couples he works with and bringing people and families together for their special event. Recently, he was awarded the Bride's Choice Award 2011 by WeddingWire.
For his "day job," Chaplain Dale is the president of
Ceremony Masters Ltd, providing master of ceremonies services for life celebrations, roasts, toasts and other life events. He works with his wife Wendy in her service to budget-minded brides under the banner of
Sweet Buffet Lady. Very involved in the community, he is a member of the
Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce, having been its chairman for four years and currently serving as its community representative. He recently retired from the board of the
Northshore Performing Arts Center and is visiting faculty for the
Center for Living and Dying. Chaplain Dale can sometimes be found donating his time as a charity auctioneer. He is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Washington School of Social Work. Every October, he hosts the successful Chilifest benefit for
Hopelink.
He and Wendy enjoy traveling this beautiful state, having special dinners, walking alongside the lake, and watching episodes of
CSI NY and
Miami,
Blue Bloods and reruns of the
Red Green Show. His favorite movies are
Strange Brew,
Blues Brothers,
Forrest Gump and
An Affair to Remember.
